Why every coach needs a podcast with David Ralph
I have a podcast. I think it’s groovy. I love that it gives me a chance to connect with my audience, and excuse to reach out to people in my industry I’d never dream of approaching otherwise, and I’ve lost count of the number of clients who say to me they first came across me via my podcast. As a coach who LOVES to talk about all things coaching, it gives me a lovely platform to do my thing – and invite others to nerd out on coaching right along with me. So for me having a podcast has been great.
But today’s guest takes his zeal for podcasting even further. When I asked David Ralph from the Join Up Dots podcast why every coach should have a podcast, he replied –
Why AREN’T they thinking about a podcast?

David thinks having a podcast is one of the best ways to build your reach and your business – and he should know – he’s built a six figure business through his own podcast in just over 2 years. He’s given me so many tips and shortcuts over the past few months of knowing him, that I knew I had to get him on the show to explain just why he thinks every coach needs a podcast, and how much easier to do than you think.
What we cover in this episode on why every coach needs a podcast with David Ralph:
- What brought David to start Join Up Dots and the inspiration behind it (hello Steve Jobs!)
- How David’s built a huge audience and a six figure business in just 2 years through his podcast alone
- Why he thinks every coach (in fact, every business) should have their own podcast
- Why he believes there’s way too many people overcomplicating podcasting and he believes you don’t need a ton of money, time or technical ability (he doesn’t even have a mobile phone!) to launch your own podcast
